Automobile Corporation of Goa Limited (ACGL) was established in 1980s as a joint venture between EDC, a Goa Government undertaking, and Tata Motors Limited (formerly known as Tata Engineering & Locomotive Co. Ltd.). The company manufactures Sheet metal components, assemblies and bus coaches at its factories situated in villages Honda & Bhuimpal, Goa. ACGL is one of the largest manufacturers of bus bodies in the country. Currently, it manufactures 16 to 20 buses every day. Over the year, ACGL has emerged as the market leader in the bus body building segment.
