The company was renamed Lava International in 2009. Founded by Sunil Bhalla, Hari Om Rai, Shailendra Nath Rai and Vishal Sehgal. Lava launched its Lava Iris X1 the earliest Smartphones in India to use the Android Kitkat operating system in 2014.
