Pears Soap is the world's oldest and transparent soap brand, it was first produced in the year 1807 by Andrew Pears at a factory just off Oxford Street in London, England. In the mid 1910s, the brand became part of Lever Brothers (who also took over Pears Soap's rival Otto Vinolia Toilet Soap. In India, the brand is sold and distributed under Hidustan Unilever Limited (HUL). Though over the years, the honey coloured translucent Pears soap remains popular even today. Pears soap majorly comes in three variants Pears Pure & Gentle, Pears Germshield and Pears Oil Clear.
